Garmin’s Upcoming Watch Might Be The Biggest One Yet!
A fresh leak of the newly upcoming Garmin watch has showcased that it will most likely be one of the biggest Garmin products up till now, it has further signaled the impending release of a New Garmin Watch, and one of the first things that set this watch apart from other Garmin watches is its bigger than ever Case, it currently holds the record of being the biggest case we’ve ever seen from the company.
All wearables with certain mobile communications tech pass through the FCC before they are sold in the US, resulting in the release of lots of documents ahead of their release. While these won’t use a device’s actual name, they can often reveal some key features and traits of the product. This new Garmin device is in one of the test report documents and its dimensions might be close to 57mm.
The uncovered FCC filing is related to a new smartwatch labeled as “A04600”. When we dive into its specifics, they first seem to be a little sketchy to the naked eye but hidden within the application are the details that could relate to the watch’s case size and if accurate, the “A04600” device could feature a whopping 57mm case.
It’s much larger than what we normally see from Garmin, even the Fenix7X and Fenix 6X offer a 51mm case and they seem to be a pair of two huge watches from the company, however, this mysterious addition is likely from an entirely different line to the Fenix.
A better guess would be that this is a larger version of the 45mm Garmin Instinct 2 Solar, potentially an instinct 2X Solar, especially given the time that has passed since the release of this watch.
Meanwhile, we know from previous experience that over the years, the dimensions outlined in the FCC filings are not always especially reliable.
We still think it’s likely that the new product is bigger than around 50mm, given the size of its case while keeping in view the details of its filing as well, but 57mm seems like a bit of a stretch to say.
An FCC filing out of nowhere normally indicates an official announcement and the release date is close, so expect to see the full details emerge over the next few months.
Meanwhile, we could also say that Garmin instinct 2, which is their best outdoor sports watch, could soon get an enormous sequel, at least according to several listings on regulator websites.
First spotted by Flo of Fitness Tracker Test, who frequently reports on various hints and leaks of new upcoming models. The report shows details of a “low power communication device transmitter” watch with the instinct’s distinctive design which is the screen-within-a-screen design suggests that the watch is in the instinct range and that it has sizable dimensions which are 57mm x 13mm, this size is more significant than any other watch in the instinct range and it’s even more significant than the Garmin Enduro 2.
This is exciting and good news for the users of Garmin who enjoyed the previous models of the potential sequel, the Garmin instinct w is already one of the best Garmin watches overall for the outdoor sportsperson, in terms of value for money, it’s far more affordable than the ultra-premium Garmin Enduro 2 which at the time of writing is the biggest watch is Garmin’s Lineup.
The Enduro 2 is a beast of a watch, it has the most useful of features, including a GPS battery life of over 100 hours a massive face, and all the bells that you will need in a watch, it also whistles, the instinct 2, on the other hand, could be seen as a more affordable outdoor watch for all-day adventures.
Garmin is also bringing out more and more models at a faster pace than before, you only have to see the speed at which the new forerunners were released to see the gaps between the time of release getter shorter and shorter, whereas Apple only have two to three models to choose from and they don’t hold much of a variety, but it’s understandable as we all know of how Apple operates and how it aims towards selling a whole ecosystem which includes different products.
