At CES 2024, Google and Samsung announced a groundbreaking collaboration to merge their file-sharing features into a single system called ‘Quick Share’.

The general manager and vice president of Google Android Ecosystem, Samat stated that they combined and created this as an in-built peer-to-peer content-sharing app for Android and Chromebook.
This means it is not just a simple merging app, but it contains the main purpose of creating a smoother and more intuitive experience for all Android users. Now, you do not need to worry about file sharing, instead, you will get a list of nearby devices that are ready to receive your photos videos, and documents.
With Quick Share, your privacy will not be invaded, and you will get complete control over who can see your device and only those people who can send you the files who have your permission, choosing between everyone, only your contacts, or just your own devices. This makes sure that you are in charge of your data.
Quick Share will start rolling out its nearby share-enabled devices this February.
