Today we have selected Harit Posanakul to take his Interview. He is the Managing Director of Minimice Group Co Ltd.
First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?
COVID-19 pandemic is a very interesting event that happened during our lifetime, it has taught us how important the digitalized world is to businesses across the world. When COVID-19 have hit Thailand the first time, we’re quite preparing for such an event as we have digitized our work and every process of our work beforehand, however, the challenging part is on the daily scrumming of our teams which we have to tackle that part immediately as it’s a crucial part of how we adapt. In the meantime, we’re very lucky that every one of us has put everything in hand and suggested ways to solve each and every problem together as a team, brainstorming and jotting down on the challenges that we experience each day and ways to solve them each problem. Minimice Group is very lucky that we haven’t been affected by this pandemic and continuously hit our yearly target.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined this company.
I was born in an entrepreneurial family, I was always trying to find some business since I was in high school. My friends and I were always planning and thinking about some business opportunity since then, but like other teenagers, we just think and don’t act on it. However, things have changed when I was in my university exchange days. I have an opportunity to go to Bocconi University at Milan for an economics degree, however, marketing seems to drag my interests and I’ve decided to walk in marketing class randomly throughout the times there. I have met an English friend in class that has a job opportunity on Google SEO for a company in Milan, as I have no idea what he was talking about. I immediately accepted the invitation and research it. Fast forward, when I graduated from university, as a student that doesn’t perform well in my gradings. I decided to help my family business for a year by creating a new website, doing all sorts of online marketing to improve our company’s sales. In the process, I have wasted more than $15,000 to perform on Google Ads and Facebook Ads effectively and gain leads. Along the way, I have done some freelance work for my client as well as I have posted my work on Fast work. co which is a fresh startup company similar to Fiverr. I’m very fortunate as Fast work has grown tremendously and I have gained more than 50 clients from Fast work, then I decided to start my own digital marketing company which focuses on Google SEO, Minimice Group.
How does your company innovate?
Innovating and adapting is the core fundamental of our company. We structure our workflows for each and every employee to grow and learn in advance and update throughout the changes of this fast adapting business. All in all, we listen to our clients on the pain points that their customers
have been experiencing and tackle those points effectively, in which we see a little dip in revenue of our clients during this pandemic
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
This pandemic has given us a golden opportunity to scale to the next level, since everyone has experienced a lockdown, online exposure has never been more important. Luckily, we gained big deals and clients during that period. The only problem that we face is the scaling process that we have to work from home and is difficult for us to rapidly train and get new employees on board.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
We are using a lot of tools to digitize our workflow. We use Asana for keeping our workflow aligned, Slack for internal discussion of each project, Line for discussing with clients, Google meeting Zoom for online meetings and getting new clients, SMEMove for local accounting software, and DocuSign for signing contracts with clients. These tools are very essential to our survival during the pandemic.
Your final thoughts
We’re very fortunate to have such a great team within Minimice Group, I really owe them a lot for their hard work and ideas to improve our company. I believe in the essence of lean management, every single person within our company has given real ( sometimes harsh ) feedback every quarterly meeting and those feedbacks have really accelerated our business from nothing into such a great team and well-known SEO company in Thailand.
