Today we have selected Alexandra Lovin to take her interview. She is the Digital Marketing Manager at re7consulting Romania.
First, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?
In the beginning, we were very insecure because we had never faced such a big challenge before. Therefore it is important to have a strong leader to give the team security and a clear direction. We had to adapt quickly to the new market conditions. The ability to work online gave us the flexibility we needed. Our entire IT infrastructure was already set up for this, and the change went flawlessly.
Other companies weren’t ready yet and this gave us a huge advantage.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined this company?
My passion for online marketing started 9 years ago, and over time it has turned into a passion for the results we get through our services. Six years ago, I had the opportunity to join the re7consulting agency, which I know is what I want from my career. For three years, I joined as an associate. The right doors often open for us, and if we know what we want, we know which door to enter.
In the agency, I have evolved in different areas. Currently, I am the manager of a wonderful team, I create strategies for our partners, and we make sure that our partners have the desired results.
How does your company innovate?
I believe a good team makes a difference and is the secret to success.
For this reason, the atmosphere in the agency, the team’s mindset, and the way the team feels at the office are very important.
We organize meetings in which we discuss all the challenges transparently, listen to the team when it has something to say, and improve what we consider worthwhile.
Being an NLP Practitioner, I apply certain exercises and games through which the team discovers new perspectives, which helps us all be on the same side.
How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
For the company and our partners, the pandemic period brought a great dynamic that we had to manage.
We also had to readjust marketing strategies to find new solutions for partners. At one point, the campaigns were changed for some partners based on the restrictions.
We didn’t feel that the pandemic affected us. Still, it certainly challenged usWe had to react relatively quickly in this dynamic environment, and we constantly had to look for solutions to maintain our presence in the online environment.
Did you have to make difficult choices and the lessons learned?
I learned that regardless of the pandemic or not, in the online environment, it is very important to show presence, communicate transparently with users, customers, and the team, and continuously improve.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
We use Zoom for online conferences and ClickUp, Dropbox, and Microsoft 365 for project management. For communication, we usually use the customer’s preferred way of communication (telephone, WhatsApp, FB Messenger).
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Our competitors are performance agencies. Our slogan is more than just marketing. We invest a lot of time in a close relationship with our partners and convince creative ideas in our campaigns. Our focus is on automotive and real estate, where we have over 5 years of experience and know the industry very well.
Your final thoughts
Regardless of the business or the environment in which we operate, online or offline, there are some values that we should all cultivate, both in the relationship with the team and in the relationship with the clients.
