Today we have selected Alice Ding to take her Interview. She is the Founder Of MiApple Inc.
First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic arose, our team started working remotely to avoid physical contact and prevent the increasing number of infected. To follow safety protocols, we do online meetings and use different online management and organizational tools to do our daily tasks and maximize our time in managing our firm. So far, our team still tend to perform well while adjusting to the new work set up.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined this company. How does your company innovate?
I was a former senior developer and CTO at solar feeds. Fortunately, while engaging myself in that company, I got hooked on digital marketing, most probably because of my husband, who really influences me in the field as he is a marketing person. Eventually, I decided to establish and run my own digital marketing company. My digital marketing agency dream turned into reality when I founded MiApple Inc. I started the operation with the vision of assisting small-to-medium digital marketing businesses to also use my vast and long experience which I obtained from my previous works in the agency. Since I am a golf enthusiast, I have decided to focus on Golf digital marketing, simply combining the two major things I really love the most.
Apart from that, I put my interest in Golf digital marketing because I understand the despair of every golfer as they need to stop playing golf courses for a long while due to the pandemic. But if the Golf industry will be elevated to the digital world, we can make it possible to connect golf professionals to exchange insights without going on the actual golf field. You can engage with golf players all over the world without having to meet them personally. Our company put extra effort and time into making things more possible in the Golf industry amidst the pandemic through Golf virtual or simulation.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Since we are offering services in Golf Digital Marketing, we need to expand our scope of leads. We need to engage with golf business owners in order to present our services and make a good deal with them. However, due to COVID-19, we are not able to meet our potential clients and converse with them personally. Also, we cannot visit the offices of our targeted clients to offer our business plan to make their golf business more engaging even during this pandemic. Fortunately, with the help of technology, there are many online tools and applications existing that can suffice our needs. Since then until now, we still utilize some of them to conveniently and quickly reach our clients and make a close deal with them.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
When it comes to communication, our team makes use of both Zoom and Skype as these two are the most common videotelephony software program that most everyone in our team knows how to navigate and utilize. We use them for videocall, conferencing, and chatting.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game? Your final thoughts
Since Golf Digital Marketing Business is just in its first bloom in the digital industry, I only have very few competitors, particularly in Canada; one of them is the Golf Exclusive Digital Marketing Agency. However, it doesn’t mean that our team should remain calm and steady to where we are right now. With these fast-moving demands and innovations in the digital world, we believe that a lot of competitors will come and eventually go head to head with us, sooner or later. As a business owner, I should not calmly sip my coffee and wait for potential competitors to reign the Golf Digital Marketing Industry and outcast our team. Instead, my team and I will continuously hone our skills and knowledge about digital marketing. We will still craft and adopt new technology for our digital golf business to make an edge over our competitors. With that, we can remain on top of the game. We will not stop improving our services as we believe that clients’ demands will also keep on improving and improving as the day passes by. Learning and improving ones’ business has no final point. It’s infinite progress.
