Meet Bruce Magown – InterWeave, The Smart Integration Platform for CRM

Today we have selected Bruce Magown to take his interview. He is the Ceo of InterWeave Smart Solutions.

First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?

We are well. We have had the advantage of working remotely since 2006, which I know the employees appreciate. We typically do Zoom calls every two hours of every day, providing our customer’s consistent communications on issues, deployments, upgrades, etc., they are involved with.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined this company?

My focus has always been Technology and Finance. The creation of InterWeave was the natural progression of that focus. Before Integration Technologies, I served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, head of the Audit Committee, Investor, and Board member of private technology companies when I was in the Venture Capital business.

I particularly enjoyed my tenure at Netscape, where I served as the Vice President of Professional Services for Netscape representing Canada, the United States East Coast, and Latin America. Before this, I was an AVP of Lehman Brothers and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Information Engineering, Inc., an e-business solution provider.

How does your company innovate?

The short answer is every day.  Our approach was to focus on the best CRM Partners we could find and then provide Configurable Integration Solutions, allowing selection of best business practices, workflow, and much more.  The real answer is to listen to your customers. They know exactly what they want and will motivate you to provide it.

How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

As the Covid-19 pandemic shut down countries, we experienced a slight disturbance in early Q2 of 2019. To rectify, we tailored the approach and began engaging prospects and customers in Q3 with different forms of outreach programs supported by remote video calling and kept moving forward. Since then, the business has accelerated nicely due to pent-up demand for our CRM Customers.

Did you have to make difficult choices and the lessons learned?

There are always difficult choices to make as a technology provider; extend product functionality vs. focusing on ROI. The lesson is to follow your path. We spent considerable time in Q4 of 2019 and Q1 of 2020 repositioning and rebranding the company, and there are several new developments. These new developments allow the company to unlock and explore greater opportunities to grow and build upon its current success.

We focus on three integration tenants: Financial Services Solutions, Payment Processors, and Multi-Cloud integrations in a simple, configurable way. What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Communication. 7 days a week, 25 hours per day.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Competitors come and go. Focus on meeting the Customers Requirements, and they will sell for you. The firm operates a client-focused approach to ensure that they are all treated to the highest possible standards of service and support.

The team is required to treat clients as they would like to be treated themselves, as InterWeave understands that its clients are the driving force behind the company’s success. Additionally, the company has grown multifold as its postings on CRM Partners Application Exchanges are the driving force behind potential customers.

Not only do these exchanges lead to customers but also constant customers and partners referrals. Additionally, we accelerated our dependency on QuickBooks Integration to the Sage line and MS Dynamics. The company is now in outbound sales and marketing strategies in multiple locations across the globe.

Your final thoughts

We were excited about our reception from our new customers in 2020, even with the effects of Covid-19. The people that come to InterWeave know what they are looking for. What’s truly appreciated by the Clients who work with InterWeave is the resources that we provide – recommendations based not only on the knowledge of integrated systems process models, data architecture, data models, but the business logic of the transactions at a very detailed level.
