Today we have selected Dan Stefan to take his interview. He is the CEO of Digital Artflow.
First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?
Hello, and thank you for inviting me for an interview. So far, we are doing great, despite the various challenges we have faced since the pandemic began. We had to reorganize our entire workflow from home several times, which was very difficult to implement. But over time we have managed to get used to the new way of working, and now we can say that we have almost the same efficiency whether we work from home or the office.
Tell us about your career and how you founded or joined this company?
In 2009, a stable portfolio of clients began to form, which at some point needed a company. So the team went from a group of freelancers to a commercial entity called Digital Artflow. Since then, my main responsibility has been to bridge communication between the client and the team and bring new clients. It was a beautiful experience for me, talking to so many people from different parts of the world and helping them grow in their businesses with all sorts of innovative solutions.
How does your company innovate?
We are one of the earliest to adopt Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies. We also started 7 years ago to distribute and implement 3D online configurators integrated with payment systems improving the interaction between buyers and products. We work with the latest technologies to implement the best-performing solutions, especially e-commerce.
How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
We made many changes in the company to survive, but we also had advantages over other industries. During the pandemic, many companies that initially relied on sales in showrooms had to invest in software solutions to sell online, from e-commerce sites to various applications to enhance online services, configurators, 3D planners, and immersive technologies. . This helped us stay afloat while we internally had to make many organizational changes.
Did you have to make difficult choices and the lessons learned?
We had to give up the office several times and move everything home. Even now, we work from home, but it was a difficult decision the first time it happened. In time I realized that although it is a decision with many question marks, things settle down in such a way to be good over time. Here, the team played a major role in making these things easier.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
We work using SCRUM-based project management, and the usual tools we use to work from home are almost the same as those used in the office.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
In the last 5 years, we have started to have a few competitors, and we strive to be among the top 5 even if some competitors come strong with great resources. Our experience and high expertise matter, which is why many companies choose to work with us for years to come.
Your final thoughts
