Meet Mr. Sunil Rawat MD and Founder – Passion leads to Success

Today we have selected Mr. Sunil Rawat To to take his interview. He is the Founder and MD of Systematix Infotech.

First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?

We are incredibly blessed to have good health of mine as well as my entire team. Thanks to our work-from-home model that has been running successfully for the past 11 months and we are able to keep ourselves safe. At the same time delivery as promised. In fact, there has been a steep surge in work because of the general shift towards digital models during this challenging time.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined this company?

As I come from a mediocre family, there were many roadblocks in the way of completing my education. And with just Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication, getting a job was quite difficult. So, I started repairing televisions, indulging in industrial maintenance, and then went into computer hardware maintenance and sales. Since then, the journey into the world of Information Technology started and is still going on.

I believe it is the passion for learning and working hard that adds to your success, not just the education.  In fact, passion pushes you to become an entrepreneur. In 2005, I founded Systematix with just a couple of people. Today we are a team of 272 professionals working with companies worldwide.

How does your company innovate?

We are fortunate to have that culture that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. To be a value and long-term partner, we continuously innovate both in terms of new and upcoming technologies and new business domains and industries. We are a Gartner partner and their technology outlook helps us prepare in advance for new commercial trends. This is the reason we have been able to offer digital transformation services quite early.

To create an environment of innovation, we organize an internal competition on a quarterly basis at all levels. Believe me, these millennials are super energetic and full of business ideas. Just give a challenge to them and they will figure the way out.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

The efficiency of our workforce did not get affected during the pandemic. Instead, it boomed. As shared for nine months, all our team members have been working from home. In fact this year we have already achieved our yearly numbers.

Systematix Infotech successfully delivered some massive applications during COVID-19. The company helped in designing a business performance app for Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicle. An app that works on top of the mainstream applications to pull relevant data in real-time, making it easier to get important numbers in a single KPI Dashboard for better actions and decisions. Due to the pandemic, the entire study was done offsite, and the whole team worked remotely to meet the deadline for launch and made this possible.

The situation has definitely made our working remote but it has also brought us closer. When you work in the office, you don’t connect so often as everyone is sitting next door but here you will need to collaborate more often. Regular meetings, virtual calls, time, and performance monitoring through our application WorkShots have helped team members collaborate better.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

In life, we definitely have to make some choices. During challenging time, we find them difficult however when the water overflow, we feel that was the right decision for that moment. This is absolutely practical judgment and I believe that no fancy degree or academic performance can help you grow your business except your own zeal, potential and inherent drive.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

As shared we are using Workshots – an employee time tracking and productivity monitoring system for monitoring our teams that are working remotely. It is a web-based application that helps you know the team’s actual productivity by providing time tracking, cost tracking, time-sheet management with automatic intermittent screenshot capturing. This has helped us in smooth project and time management during this challenging crisis.

This pandemic also offered us an opportunity to build our own IPRs. We are on the verge of launching Profitley, a seamless B2B Ordering and Order Management platform for brands, distributors, and wholesalers. The application is mobile and web-based, enabling sales automation for B2B businesses allowing their users to place the orders digitally. This empowers monitoring the entire secondary sales operations with one click.

We also own IPR for an intelligent, cost estimation automation and cost control software, Cost-IT-Right. It is specially designed to meet automobile manufacturers’ and OEMs’ needs, bringing a meaningful change in the complete ecosystem. Some of the leading global automobile manufacturers are using this solution for their most critical and complex process of Costing.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

With time the demand for automation is ever increasing. This industry is huge and everyone will have their own space. But yes it is important to realize that you are not a technology service provider but a business solution provider. That’s where you differential yourself from your competitor.

We believe in #relationshipbeyondcontract and that’s the reason we have relationships with our clients as old as like 10+ years supporting their mission-critical and large projects.

Another important point to stay in the game is being proactive in adapting the latest trends and technologies to augment our client’s business processes. New-age technologies like IoT, AI/ML RPA/IPA, and Customer Support Chatbots help our clients reduce human dependency, save operation time, and bring accuracy. Spotless, on-time delivery and information security are our priorities.

Your Final Thoughts

We are a cool company with aggression in terms of on-time and quality delivery. We work with a select few but with whomsoever we work, we ensure are able to add our two cents to his existing process. Talking about the company, we believe in inclusive growth and aspire to create and long-term value that benefits all stakeholders, employees, and wider society.
