Today we have selected Sebastian Rindé to take his interview. He is the Marketing Manager At Fabric Staffing.
First of all, how are you and your team doing in these COVID-19 times?
Amazing! Before COVID-19, we experimented with work-from-home days a few times a week. Once shutdowns happened, the transition was seamless, and the team continued to outperform our expectations.
Tell us about your career and how you founded or joined this company?
I joined the Marine Corps right after I graduated high school. I had a very lucky and unique military experience; upon graduation from Bootcamp and MOS school, I applied for the IMA Det (Individual Mobilization Augmentee). IMAs are Marines in the Selected Reserve who are attached to active-duty units in support of operational Combatant Commanders and governmental agencies across the globe. I was lucky enough to join a unit in Okinawa, Japan, where I assisted with joint operations for months. Upon completing these operations, I would fly back to the states and work odd jobs like bicycle courier, operand personal trainer, and eventually find myself in operations and marketing at the end of my military contract.
I joined Fabric Staffing in 2019, initially assisting with recruiting, and within 6 months promoted to Marketing Manager. In my first year, I was responsible for over a 900% increase in our overall digital awareness.
How does your company innovate?
Our innovation process starts with listening to our employees. At Fabric, we keep open lines of communication with every employee; anyone can talk to and be heard by any team members. Through honest and open communication, we can assess issues and find solutions that enhance the lives of our employees and our business. We live and act our motto; “Placing people first.”
How has the Coronavirus pandemic affected your business, and how are you coping?
At the pandemic’s beginning, we had only a few clients hiring. But after a few months, when businesses had established their telecommute teams and assumed a sense of normalcy, we found ourselves busier than ever. We focused a lot more on expanding our organic upper-funnel strategies on the marketing front. We did this by layering multiple digital content strategies across various platforms.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
We have a lot of competitors, local and global. Recruiting is essential to business, and many agencies or freelancers are out there. However, at Fabric, our entire approach to recruiting is unique, from our subscription-based service to how we train our staff. Our CEO Rory Bebbington understood major issues within contingent-based recruiting policies and structured Fabric Staffing around this. That is why we are truly the best tech recruiters in Los Angeles.
We love recruiting. We love participating in the process of some of our time’s most amazing and innovative tech companies. We take value in what we do every day.
