First, how are you and your team doing in these difficult Ukraine times?
Work
The team is working hard and is deeply involved in the work. We are working on current projects and looking for new ones. The company has recently proven to adapt to crises and rapidly changing circumstances. Managed to build remote work well, as the COVID-19 crisis has already shown.
People
Our employees, safety, and families are the most valuable to us. Currently, we are proud that we were able to adjust the work of the company to 100% during the Corona crisis previously and the Russian military invasion now.
Moreover, our colleagues from Bulgaria welcomed us in Plovdiv, our second RnD center, which is a great sign of support. Everyone is in a safe location, established workspace, and online.
Russian invasion
We have suspended cooperation on related projects with Russia, more deeply checking all new partners and clients on direct or indirect association with Russia.
Did the team support this decision?
The team supports 100%.
The company initially developed a very close relationship between management and employees. The whole team supports this decision and has directed all efforts to work effectively and support those without a project. In parallel, the company participates in volunteer activities and delivers humanitarian aid to the most shelled areas of the east.
Is your team involved in charity?
We raised funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the war for:
- Thermal imagers
- Walkie-talkie
- Drones
- Body armor
- Military vehicle
Organized fund-raising for firefighters, and medics, wounded because of the Russian missile attack at the Kramatorsk railway station and for the children’s hospital in Kharkiv.
Tell us about your career and how you founded or joined this company?
I graduated from KNURE (Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics) and started my career as a developer in the mathematical laboratory. We developed many interesting solutions to differential equations using numerical methods. After that, I worked for Altron company and got my first commercial software development experience.
In 2009, I joined UARank Software Company as a team lead. In 2014, the company was renamed New Line Technologies, which exists today. In the beginning, we were a team of 6 and grew to 120+. But something didn’t change – the highest priority is still 100% transparency and trust between clients, devs, and anyone in the company.
How does your company innovate?
New Line Technologies has been changing the world for more than 10 years. The company is involved in cutting-edge projects. Thanks to the team’s unique knowledge, we have helped our customers create more than 10 patents in the United States and are involved in multimedia processing and fintech.
NLT team continues to improve skills, hire new specialists, and follows global innovations.
To develop and deepen, to show the high level of experts in what we already know.
We have analyzed the work that has been done and the experience we have received, and we are in a stage of improvement now.
How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
The COVID-19 pandemic affected all areas Worldwide, from business to lifestyle, and New Line is no exception.
But all this turned out to be another step toward our growth and development.
We are always proud that we can quickly adapt to new market demands, easily set up remote/hybrid work, and adopt a new communication system, which allows us to maintain the productivity and quality of our team.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons?
The main lesson of recent years is readiness for changes. Our main lesson was that we must be constantly prepared for changes in market conditions. For this, it is critical to hear feedback from the customer and encourage the initiative of employees. It allows us to improve our services, be flexible and find the best ways to cooperate with our customers.
