New Option Launched By Youtube
YouTube has gotten its new CEO and it seems like he is already doing some changes. YouTube has announced that they are testing a new 1080p premium option. But not for all users, this offer is just for the subscribers who had the premium subscription.
If we talk about the exact amount of people, then according to a subordinate of the company, Paul Pennington, this 1080p premium option is just for some group of people of YouTube premium subscribers.
This means that this option is not yet launched completely. Subscribers have to wait for this high-quality option.
YouTube basically is an American platform that has its main focus on online video sharing and watching online videos. YouTube’s official headquarters are situated in San Bruno, California. You can get all types of videos whether you want animated or horror all types are available on YouTube.
This new version of YouTube is essentially an enhanced bitrate version of 1080p that gives your YouTube video a high-quality view experience. This option also offers more information per pixel.
YouTube company members also confirmed that there is no change to the pre-existing quality offering for 1080p resolution on YouTube.
You can see clearly that resolution of any video is the only factor that determines the overall video quality. There are also some other factors that play a key role in making a video look interesting and good, these factors include bitrate and color depth. The Bitrate of any video is the number that indicates that this amount of data is used to transfer each second of video.
Let’s take an example, 1080p Blu-ray, which provides a maximum 40Mbps, which delivers a fresh image.
The new YouTube’s premium 1080p option is just an attempt to provide their users with good quality videos with a better viewing experience. If we talk about the standard bitrate mode of 1080p, then it has a range between 8- 10 Mbps, which results in video with more blocks than Blu-ray.
Some people shared the screenshot of the’’ stats of Nerds’’ tool, which a person can only access through the settings toolbox of the YouTube video. That screenshot revealed that the new premium 1080p option ram is around 13 Mbps as compared to 8 Mbps which is in standard mode for the same video.
The data which is used to transfer the video can also change because YouTube generally uses variable bitrate encoding. All the videos which are encoded at a higher bitrate will generally look better as compared to others.
The new option of premium 1080p launched by YouTube’s CEO can boost up the bitrate up to almost 50 percent, which results in better quality videos but just for those who paid for this. Users who bought a premium subscription to YouTube can get this option not.
YouTube doesn’t show the high bitrate of videos just to save your data and with this, it shows you the bitter quality of videos. Most people prefer low-quality videos just to save the amount of data used by the videos.
Last year also YouTube company has tested the 4K playback feature that was only accessible to subscribers. But that news launch had many drawbacks mostly commonly was some people were losing access to something that had for free before.
This new experiment only adds the advantage for paying customers while keeping the regular 1080p option the same. That means that if you consider the lower bitrate 1080p to be the same as the higher bitrate 1080p.
